Fitness businesses qualify for federal support under the recently extended Bill C-2 Highly Affected Sectors Credibility Program

The Highly Affected Sectors Credit Availability Program was created to provide businesses heavily impacted by COVID-19, access to low-interest loans of $25,000 to $1 million to cover operational cash flow needs.

HASCAP was created to support businesses that operate in sectors such as tourism and hospitality, restaurants and those that primarily rely on in-person services. Previously excluded, Fitness businesses now qualify for HASCAP support.

The Fitness Industry Council of Canada, lobbied hard to have the fitness industry, heavily impacted by COVID 19 restrictions, included in HASCAP. Fitness Alberta is a non-profit representative on FIC.

  • Applications for funding must be received before March 31, 2022
  • More information on HASCAP can be found on the BDC website.
