Strength & Conditioning Supervisor (Full Time - Contract)
Brookfield Residential YMCA at Seton
Start Date: December 2025
End Date:12 month Contract with possibility of extension.
Salary: $47,829/year - $59,786/year

The Strength & Conditioning Supervisor will:
· Develop, control and evaluate the adult programs budget, related statistics, and purchase equipment as required;
· Hire, supervise and train Strength & Conditioning staff and volunteers, including conducting certification observations;
· Provide direct hands-on program delivery twice per week or as required to meet area needs;
· Deliver YMCA leadership courses;
· Ensure excellent quality member service by identifying the needs and wants of members and participants as priority and respond to their concerns in an effective, timely manner;
· Effectively communicate in a variety of methods and settings;
· Represent the branch on the Association’s Health & Fitness workgroup and task forces where required;
· Assist with duty manager shifts.
Community Engagement
· Support the general manager in ensuring the YMCA has a positive presence in the local community
Fund Development
· Participate in the Staff and Volunteer aspect of the Annual Campaign

Requirements and qualifications
At YMCA Calgary we strive to ensure our employees are a fit based on their strengths, interests, and future goals. The successful candidate will have the following;
· Bachelor of Physical Education, Kinesiology (or related degree) and/or equivalent experience;
· Resistance or Group Strength & Conditioning Training Certification(s); (Fitness Alberta courses & suitable equivalents will be considered).
· Minimum two years’ experience in the field, and one-year supervisory experience;
· CPFT certificate is preferred;
· Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C certificated within the last 12 months from an approved AB OHS provider. Asset if certification is issued by one of the following five Canadian organizations: Canadian Red Cross, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Lifesaving Society, St John's Ambulance and/or Canadian Ski Patrol.
· Evidence of a cleared police security clearance including a vulnerable sector search;
· Three professional references required.
