The City of St. Albert is recruiting individuals to join our Recreation & Parks department as Group
Fitness Instructors to lead various group classes.
Hours of Work
Hours of work are determined by class times, which take place during operational hours of 5:30 -
9:30.
Term
This position has an end date of December 31, with a possibility of an extension.
Compensation
The wage ranges from $30 - $55 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
• Group Fitness Instructor $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
• Specialty Fitness Instructor $30 - $55 per hour

Requirements and qualifications
• 1 or more certifications is required: Fitness Alberta, but not limited to, as other equivalent or related certifications may be considered.
• Current Standard First Aid Certification.
• Preference will be given to those with prior instruction experience.
• Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.
We are looking for motivated and energetic individuals who have strong leadership and teaching
abilities.
Conditions of Employment
• The successful candidate will be required to provide proof of educational and professional
credentials.
• The successful applicant will be required to obtain a clear vulnerable sector police
information check.
