Description
Description: We are seeking an instructor to lead a 14-week Barre Fitness class for
seniors. Barre fitness is described as: a highly focused body-molding workout that
works towards improved posture, developing balanced muscle definition, sculpted
arms, thighs, glutes, and strong abdominals. This non-impact class also targets the
assistor muscles, which act as stabilizers and play a crucial role in preventing injury.
The 14-week session will begin the week of January 12th, 2026, will run for 5 weeks,
take a 1-week break for the week of Family Day (February 16th - 20th, 2026), and
then resume for another 9 weeks, ending the week of April 20th, 2026. We have
availability for a class on Monday mornings between 9:00 am and 11:00 am, Monday
afternoons after 2:00 pm, Tuesday mornings between 9:00 am and 11:00 am, or
Thursday afternoons after 1:00 pm.
Requirements and qualifications
Must be a certified fitness instructor through Fitness Alberta. Must be able to provide
proof of certification and insurance.
