Job Details
The City of St. Albert is recruiting individuals to join our Recreation & Parks department as Group
Fitness Instructors to lead various group classes including Yoga, Choreography, Resistance
training and Aqua Fitness.

Hours of Work
Hours of work are determined by class times, which take place during operational hours of 5:30 - 9:30.
Term
This position has an end date of December 31, with a possibility of an extension.

Compensation
The wage ranges from $30 - $70 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
A separate wage range will apply for the following positions such as:

• Aquatics Fitness Instructor $34.00 - $46.00 per hour
• Specialty Fitness Instructor $30-$55 per hour
• Pilates Instructor $45.00 - $70.00 per hour
• Yoga Instructor $45.00 - $70.00 per hour
• Zumba Instructor $45.00 - $70.00 per hour

Requirements and qualifications

Qualifications
• Fitness Alberta Group certification, or equivalent
• Current Standard First Aid Certification.
• Preference will be given to those with prior instruction experience.
• Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.
We are looking for motivated and energetic individuals who have strong leadership and teaching
abilities.

Conditions of Employment
• The successful candidate will be required to provide proof of educational and professional
credentials.
• The successful applicant will be required to obtain a clear vulnerable sector police
information check.

assessed in relation to the responsibilities and requirements of the position.
