Group Cycle
Learn how to plan and deliver effective indoor group cycling classes. Taught by experienced Fitness Alberta educators, in this 8-hour course you will learn:
- bike set up and safety
- cycling biomechanics, pedalling, cadence and posture
- cardiovascular conditioning principles
- safe, effective movement combinations
- effective instruction and cueing
- use of music
To register for this course we recommend that you are currently registered in, or have completed the Fitness Alberta Foundations in Physical Activity and Exercise course. (You do not have to have written your Foundations exam).
Fitness Alberta Group Cycle certification is endorsed by Fitness Leadership Canada.
If you are already certified with us, the Group Cycle course provides 8 CECs if you are not already certified in this specialty, in addition to expanding your certification.

NOTE: We recommend that you are enrolled in, or have completed, the Foundations in Physical Activity and Exercise course before taking a specialty course.
